A Wealth of Experience Available
When you brief the
JARVIS DEVELOPMENT team, you are not just moving the project on a stage, you are unlocking the wealth of experience and advice that can be offered both from within the company and, for specialist areas (like legal, accounting, design, marketing, and research), from our external consultants with whom we have long standing relationships.

Consequently to ensure that you get the very best input from
JARVIS, we ask that you prepare your brief with the same attention to detail that you will have given the research stage of the project.

We will then enter into a development contract with you, which will enable you to understand costs, testing requirements, and time scales. This contract will also ensure that work done on your behalf is kept confidential and exclusive to you.

The Project Brief
For the JARVIS DEVELOPMENT team to create a bespoke formula they need, (in addition to product and project details), to fully understand your organisation. This is not just the principal contact points, but also the size, experience, resources and distribution network of your organisation. It is important for us to know as much about you and your idea as it is to learn about what product you want.
Information learnt on the project will enable the laboratory to focus on your chosen market sector, which in turn will help them develop the product(s) that realise your ideas and ultimately meet the needs of your target market.

The Product Brief(s)
You will need to create a brief for each product in your range, in each case detailing everything from function and appearance right down to packaging: Even if one product is produced in a number of different packaging forms, the packaging material can require a different formulation, and thus each one must be treated as a different product brief.
The process of thinking the project through at this stage can often generate options.
We do not expect everyone to have all the answers immediately, but the team are used to this and can advise you on direction. Of course sometimes difficult compromises have to be made, and even here JARVIS have developed tools to help clients understand the commercial significance of compromise and thus calculate the best solutions.

Product samples
The development team will produce samples for discussion with you. They would not expect to create your perfect product first time, so when agreeing a time table allow for three or four modifications to the original sample. At this point we re-emphasise our recommendation that once you are satisfied with the samples, you commission JARVIS to run a laboratory pilot run of samples, preferably in your selected packaging, which will allow for the final and confirming research with your potential customers.

Once the submissions have been approved they will undergo a standard 16 week series of laboratory controlled tests, after which the results will be sent to an independent assessor for endorsement thus assuring compliance with all current legislation. There may be additional tests that you require or that the team consider advisable, these will be discussed during the development process.

Working as a team
From the time you brief the JARVIS DEVELOPMENT team, you have an experienced new member on your project team. They work very closely with you to bring your concept to reality, steering you away from the pitfalls and ensuring that you have a high quality product that delivers your proposition to the customer. JARVIS keeps you on track for success.
