Development of cosmetics has come a long way over the last thirty years. Yet the last ten years have seen greatest change. There is now a profusion of new and exciting raw materials from all over the globe, reflecting the demands of the modern consumer for absolute effectiveness. It is not only raw materials that have undergone a revolution; the overall responsibility of the modern laboratory to the client, consumer and environment is far greater then ever before.

The most demanding aspect of cosmetic development today is the desire for efficacious natural products and, because JARVIS have been supplying botanical extracts for many years, this has been a natural if challenging step. In the past 5 years we have invested much time and effort in the quest to develop ever more natural products. We have even devised systems to guide clients through the maze of choices to be made in order to create natural products which deliver the efficacy of their more synthetic counterparts.


JARVIS DEVELOPMENT believes that it is morally wrong to use animals for testing, the only true test for a toiletry or cosmetic is on the human body; thus any testing required is by groups of volunteers. No product has ever been tested on animals, and raw materials are sourced only from those suppliers who share the same ethical policy.
